How do you start your day?

I have my same rituals everyday that helps me kick of a steady rhythm throughout the day. I set my 8 Sleep alarm to “Tranquility” , no snoozing! I pop up, brush my teeth, check out my incredible NYC views and take a moment to appreciate them. Then it’s out the door to walk my dog to Broken Coconut to get a coffee; iced with a shot of espresso. It’s about to be a long and energy dependent New York City day!

How do you wind down before bed?

Nag Champa incense. Classic or classical music. Low lights. A clear mind.

What’s a dream you have yet to accomplish?

I want to be in a really campy horror movie. Like Friday the 13th part 200. Hahahaha. I was obsessed with crummy horror movies growing up. So if any of you know someone that could make it happen, I’ll teach you how to box in return.

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?

Focus on what you GIVE, rather than what you get. Focus on chasing relationships, not checks. Often times as entrepreneurs we try to find ways to extract money from our clients. When I started to focus on what value I could add to my community, individuals, and my family, I became better able to develop the skills necessary to be successful; both emotionally and financially.

If I don't recover well then I can’t put forth the energy and possess the mental clarity I need to push myself forward.

What drives you?

Gratitude. Gratitude has always been the anchor to my passion and determination. I’m grateful I get to wake up and do what I do everyday. That same first day of school excitement, grounded gratitude, keeps me honest and hard working everyday.

How has your relationship with sleep changed over the years?

I fully understand the importance of rest and recovery. I set my schedule up the next day always ensuring I get at least 7-8 hours of sleep. If I don’t sleep well, I don’t recover well, and if I don't recover well then I can’t put forth the energy and possess the mental clarity I need to push myself forward.

What does your ultimate day of recovery consist of?

I live In the extremes. I like to be either extremely active and stimulated or super chill! I only take Sundays off so that day consists of major sleep ins, video games, books, massages, and eating. All day. All day eating!

What are three things you can’t sleep without?

My dog in bed. He’s like my real like stuffed animal, who occasionally farts in his sleep and scares himself into jumping off the bed. Extremely soft sheets and a light down comforter. A bed that is set to COOL (-3)

What’s keeping you up at night currently?

I sleep like a BABY!!
