Austin is a cardiovascular nurse. Brianna works in marketing. Their careers are demanding, their schedules don’t always align, and their sleep struggles couldn’t have been more different.
“I always slept hot and would wake up multiple times a night,” Austin said.
“For me, it took forever to wind down and fall asleep,” Brianna added.
Together, they were dealing with disrupted sleep, different temperature preferences, and chaotic mornings. That is, until they found Eight Sleep.
Two sleepers, one bed, zero compromises
The dual-zone temperature control was a game-changer.
“She likes it hot. I need it cool. That used to be a problem — now we both get what we want,” Austin said.
Brianna keeps her side at 90 degrees. Austin drops his down, especially for daytime naps. The Pod keeps them both comfortable, no blanket tug-of-war required.
“I used to sleep in sweatpants, socks, and a hoodie. Now I just have the Pod at 90,” Brianna said.
Better sleep, even after 3 a.m. emergencies
As a nurse, Austin sometimes gets called in for middle-of-the-night emergencies. Before the Pod, it was hard to calm his adrenaline enough to sleep afterward.
“I used to be restless for hours after coming home late. Now, with the Pod already cool, I fall into deep sleep so much faster.”
It gives him consistency in an otherwise unpredictable routine.
From two-hour wind downs to falling asleep fast
Brianna used to try everything to relax before bed: hot baths, stretching, mental tricks. Nothing really worked.
“It used to take me two hours to fall asleep. Now it’s 25 minutes. The Pod just makes it cozy — and does the work for me.”
Winding down is easier. Falling asleep happens faster. And mornings feel less chaotic.
Wake up without waking each other
Austin gets up early. Really early. But thanks to the Pod’s vibration alarm and temperature-based wake feature, Brianna isn’t disturbed.
“I used to hear his alarm every morning. Now the bed vibrates just on his side, and I get to keep sleeping,” she said.
Austin agrees: it’s the best way to start the day — alert but not jolted.
“I wake up gradually from the heat. I’m not startled, and that changes how I feel the rest of the day.”
The whole family approves
Even their dog, Dallas, has developed a taste for temperature control.
“At night, he’s on my cool side. In the morning, he’s snuggled up on hers,” Austin said, laughing.
“We used to have opposite sleep needs. Now we both sleep better — and so does the dog.”

From career chaos to bedtime battles, Austin and Brianna finally found something that works for both of them. No trade-offs. No interruptions. Just deeper, more personalized sleep.
